On the afternoon of May 21st, 2019, Professor Ian Walden, Director of the Center for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University of London and Ms. Zhou Huiwen, Director of the Project Management Department, visited UIBE Law School. Dean Shi Jingxia and Associate Dean Gong Hongliu warmly received these guests.

This is Professor Walden’s first visit to UIBE Law School since he took office last year. On behalf of UIBE Law School, Dean Shi expressed a warm welcome to the colleagues from CCLS. In view of the fact that the center’s distinctive advantages were highly compatible with UIBE Law School, both sides reviewed their deep academic origins from the past, introduced their current situation and development direction respectively in detail, and made in-depth discussions on topics such as research cooperation, teacher exchange opportunities and joint training programs in the future.

During the meeting, the interaction between both sides was positive and fruitful, which helped UIBE Law School to unite overseas advantages and promote the development of international economic and trade law and other distinctive and advantageous disciplines.
